| New Co-ordinator Appointed |

We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Maureen McGinlay as our new part-time Co-ordinator.
Maureen has recently completed her Community Education Degree and was previously a Home-Visiting Volunteer with us.
Maureen will join us on 19th July 2010.

| Office Re-organisation |

We have been revamping our office. We have created a Reception Area for Fiona our Admin.
We have also turned the old Boardroom into an office for both Co-ordinators. The old main office is now the New Revamped Boardroom which has given us more space for meetings, etc.
With security in mind we have installed a buzzer intercom on the office door and have placed opaque film on the glass.
This has been a lot of hard (and heavy) work but we are very pleased with the outcome.

| Summer Outing |

We have planned our Summer Outing for Wednesday 11th August to Blair Drummond Safari Park. The bus will depart from The Howff, Meadowside at 10.30 a.m. and will leave Blair Drummond at 4 p.m. for the return journey.
Home-Start will pay for the bus and entrance fees, all you have to do is bring along a packed lunch and hope for good weather

| ALISON'S PROMOTION |

The Board of Trustees of Home-Start Dundee wish to announce that Alison Kettles has successfully gained promotion to the post of Senior Co-ordinator, commencing on 1st March. Current Senior Co-ordinator, Julie Robertson will be retiring as of 28th February. Julie, Fiona and the Board wish Alison every success in her new role.

| VOLUNTEER IMPACT ASSESSMENT TOOLKIT |

Many thanks to the families who completed and returned the above questionnaires. This information is very useful to us as it helps us to identify areas which we can improve on and also shows the volunteers how much their help is appreciated.
All families who returned the questionnaire said that they would recommend the volunteers and the voluntary service to others. 78% agreed that without the volunteers, I could never expect to receive this much help.
Some family comments: Having a volunteer has helped me to get out with my child and it helps having someone to talk to and it has given me increased confidence and coping with life.
